.22 Trail Walk
Discipline Director: Lee Sancoy
The .22 Trail Walk course is located across Rankin Road from the 300-yard range entry and is permanently set up and available for use, year-round.
Twenty-five (25) metal clangers of various shapes are marked along the trail, starting at the bottom of the hill. At each station, you will find an instruction card showing what to look for and approximate distance or direction to help with target identification.
Organized matches take place May through August. Anyone with a .22 caliber rifle or pistol (or both) can join, using only 22LR ammunition. No other ammunition is permitted on the course.
Match divisions: Scoped and Iron Sights. Pistols compete against pistols only.
Trail Walk matches are very informal and relaxed, and anyone is welcome with no age limitations. Completing the full course takes about 2 hours, depending on the number of participants.
Don’t want to shoot during the match? Enjoy the Trail Walk course any day or time during Club hours.
June 2023 Match Results
Beautiful day for a shoot. This was to be our all veteran shoot. I did not have as many as I would have liked. Only had 14 shooters but we had a very good time, had a good lunch and shot a bunch. The local merchants really supported us on this. All organizations Military, law enforcement, fire departments, first responders, search and rescue were invited. They sure missed a good thing. Maybe we’ll try this again next year. Any comments? Sure would like to have a bunch show up. Darrel
